So I haven't had the chance to be on for a little while, but thats a good thing! Ive been doing A LOT of semi-pro work!! I got to work with an amazing and beautiful PRO model named Neferteri Horn. (www.neferterihorn.com) and OMG, that was the experience of a lifetime! maybe something in skincare and cosmetics is my calling!? Of course I'm going to be a Labor and Delivery Nurse Practitioner, but who says I cant work in a Plastic Surgeons office doing Aesthetics part time?! Things are looking so great for me in the Cosmetic World right now! As it is, Andrew (my fiancé) just bought me tickets to both days of IMATS. Thats the International Make-up Artists Trade Show in Pasadena. I just about passed out when he said that was my Anniversary gift!!! AHHHHHH! when I go I can officially become a Mac Pro and get my full Kit and up my skills! That means you guys are going to get TONS more photos to look at!
The first day of the show I am going with Katelynn (who I will be introducing you guys to VERY soon) and My other friend Jacquie! So I'm thinking I will Video Blog while Im there. you guys will get an INSIDE scoop!
Ive only gotten a few pics back from the Neferteri shoot, but as soon as I get more I WILL update them! but until then, heres a taste!
I decided to take a few pictures with the purpose of trying to display my Make-up. So I contacted my girl Courtney Vance and had Andrew take the pictures. I don't have as much "creative ability" to create a shoot, but I REALLY wanted to focus on JUST the Make up.
Fairly new to Make-up and Fashion worlds, Ive been in love with the Artistry of it all from a young age. I was playing with my moms make up all the time and as soon as she said I was old enough I was wearing every kind I could experiment with. I mastered the basic smoky eye at 15 taught myself to make a colorful smoky eye at 16. Im not afraid of bold bright colors or glitter. In fact I love them! I can replicate pictures from magazines and shows and LOVE to try something new. I usually experiment on my cousin and myself. When one of my best friends Jenae Toney (a local photographer) asked me to work on her shoot I jumped at the chance. And yay! everyone loved it and encouraged me to get a bit more spotlight. And so I created SugarStar Makeup Artistry. As I work more with local Photographers and Models I'll post the pictures and lists of who Ive worked with. So far its a bit limited, but I defidently want to get out there and make noise.
